Business Mediation

Business mediation is a structured and confidential process in which a neutral, independent mediator guides parties involved in a business conflict to find a sustainable solution themselves. It is an alternative to legal proceedings, in which the mediator does not pass judgement, but restores communication, clarifies interests and supports the parties in negotiating a mutually acceptable solution that can be laid down in a settlement agreement.

Business mediator for your business dispute

A mediator in a business conflict must quickly understand what is at stake. But also what the consequences of not resolving the conflict might be. Having sufficient financial and economic knowledge is often essential. Because many business conflicts have a financial impact.
A business conflict mediator does not need to have detailed knowledge of products or services. The parties at the table are specialists in that field themselves. However, empathy with your industry is very useful. If necessary, additional external expertise can be arranged at the mediation table.
However, extensive business experience is essential for a business conflict mediator. Our business mediators have that experience, which is why they are also well suited for deal mediation.

  • Helps with negotiation:
The mediator guides the negotiation process to reach a solution
  • Restores communication:
The mediator creates an environment in which the parties can talk to each other again, which is often the most important thing for resolving the conflict
  • Clarifies interests:
The mediator helps the parties to better understand their mutual interests and needs
  • Neutrality:
The mediator is completely outside the conflict and has no interest in the outcome
  • Voluntary participation:
All parties involved participate in the process voluntarily and can also terminate it
  • Confidentiality:
The process is confidential; what is discussed remains within the mediation room.
  • Sustainability:
Solutions devised by the parties themselves are often more sustainable than an imposed decision.
  • Efficiency:
Mediation is often faster, cheaper and less disruptive than legal proceedings.
